My Story

My dream of owning a Ragdoll cat.

My daughter and I were at horse sale one evening and this man was giving away kittens. They looked like a Ragdoll cat. Not full blood, but had a lot of similar characteristics of the Ragdoll cat. The more I looked the more I wanted a true Ragdoll. I fell in love with the intense blue eyes, and the friendly temperament most of all. Fast forward a few years later, the first chance I got, I invested in my first Ragdoll kitten. This was one of the best investments. I fell in love more and more with my Ragdoll, a blue eyed white - Melania Marie. She is everything I dreamed of and more. A friend of mine then suggested I should start breeding Ragdoll kittens. I had just retired from the beauty industry, this started Jeanne’s Ragdoll’s. I did not go into this lightly. I searched all over for my kings and queens to find the right bloodlines and healthy cats.

This has the journey of a lifetime. Researching, learning, late nights and early mornings, waiting for kittens to arrive. Having to make emergency vet stops for a C-Section that sends you into tears, but then hearing the words “I saved four kittens” mutter from your vet, all is well again. My favorite part is when this journey starts for a new family. When I put the kitten in the hands of the new owner, a glimpse of happiness comes to the face. My only hope is that these fur babies bring laughter and hope to the days ahead.

Picked with care

Be clear, be confident and don’t overthink it. The beauty of your story is that it’s going to continue to evolve and your site can evolve with it. Your goal should be to make it feel right for right now. Later will take care of itself. It always does.

It all begins with an idea. Maybe you want to launch a business. Maybe you want to turn a hobby into something more. Or maybe you have a creative project to share with the world. Whatever it is, the way you tell your story online can make all the difference.

Then you haven’t looked in their eyes long enough.”
